Rating of the safest cars: Which brand offers maximum protection on the road?

To determine the safest car, the European organization Euro NCAP regularly conducts crash tests of cars. Safety requirements are strict and are becoming more stringent every year. Based on the results of the tests, a rating of brands and models has been compiled, in which the safety of the driver and passengers is at the highest level.

Which cars are included in the rating of the safest cars

Traditionally, the models from Volvo are in the first positions in the rating of the safest cars. The Swedish concern takes a responsible approach to compliance with safety standards. The first two places were taken by sports cars (SAV) XC90 and sedan S90. The models are equipped with a set of functions important for the driver and passengers:

• automatic emergency braking;
• blind spot monitoring;
• adaptive cruise control;
• sensors for vehicle control in case of loss of control.

The Swedish brand Volvo is the safest car brand in the world, but other automakers are trying to reach the heights set by their competitor. The Tesla Model S electric car made the list as the safest car with an electric motor. It is equipped with an autopilot system that prevents accidents at a distance of up to 250 meters. The battery acts as a power structure capable of protecting passengers in an accident.
